Flash is an exciting medium on the web. It's in flux for a while, though, even as it's developers make it more sophisticated.  2 things make it a bit dicey at the moment, both of which I think will be resolved at some point.
The 2 'problems' are search engines, which can't 'read' flash files because they're so self-contained, and the second is hand-held devices, which don't show flash yet.

This Website has a home page animation that gives a preview of the products, and doesn't block any information, for people who don't have flash. The navigation is outside of the flash area. But for those who are watching at a desktop, or laptop, it's a treat.

A flash animation starting with a pair of scissors cutting a snowfake, and ending with the company logo, this was sent to the firm's clients as a holiday greeting.
